Best Fruit Picking Farms in Houston for Family Days Out – There are so many wonderful farms in Houston to visit, almost all year round.  You can pick strawberries, cherries, lavender, blueberries, asparagus, and sunflowers in the early part of the year. 

Later on there are raspberries, blackberries, pears, apples and pumpkins ripening in the fields.

Atkinson Farms

Atkinson Farm is a traditional produce growing farm in Houston.

“Fresh strawberries, fresh locally grown seasonal produce, and more, right here in Spring, Texas. When the season becomes just right to buy fresh strawberries, some of the finest handpicked and the best tasting fresh strawberries and other grown produce can be found at our Atkinson Farms.

For a little fun, you can Pick-Your-Own at our farm. Presently today we farm about 100 acres of vegetables. We have two box trucks for RB Schoemann, 19 tractors, over 100 pieces of equipment, and 8 full time workers at about 60-70 hours per week. We grow a variety of over 60 different vegetables year round, dependent on what is in service.”

Froberg’s Farm

There is so much to do at Blessington Farm from adventure playgrounds, barrel rides and field trips, as well as the classic pick your own activities.

“During the time that our strawberries are available for picking to the general public, the strawberry pads open at 10:00 AM and will close at either 12:00 PM or at an earlier time when the berries have been picked-out.

Berry Picking:

Animal Encounter:

“Here at Jollisant Farm, we love, love, love strawberries!  Better than candy is organically grown, pesticide-free red strawberries.  Our strawberry picking is fun for both adults and kids. Every season we have folks compliment us on the quality of our strawberries and the beauty of our farm. And, some folks have now made our farm an annual tradition to come and pick strawberries.

Sweet Berry Farm is ideal for families with small children. There are several activities for kids, such as a petting zoo, a train, and an inflatable bounce house. After you’ve picked berries, try a strawberry-flavored treat such as a cup of strawberry lemonade or a homemade strawberry popsicle. In the fall, the farm features a pumpkin patch and a corn maze.

Come and visit our strawberry patch!  The strawberry fields (March through May): No admission or parking fee, simply pay for the fruit you pick or the activities you wish to participate in.
