You can come to our house in the summer to pick strawberries, blackberries and red raspberries. We will have produce for sale from our garden. In the fall you can pick concord grapes and aronia. We sell pre-picked pumpkins in October and have a small corn pit for the kids. Our goats & baby goats are out and waiting to be fed on weekends. Braeutigam Orchards “has been in the family since 1831, but it wasn’t until 1935 that Rollin Braeutigam started raising fruit. Rollie enjoyed selling fruit to his friends so much that he raised more than he could sell! So he decided to take his beautiful ripe peaches to the St. Louis Market.
Lester, his son, and Marie, his daughter-in-law, helped him load those peaches in a truck and drove to St. Louis. Unfortunately, they did not realize that the market wanted greener fruit and they did not receive a good price. But Rollin and Lester believed tree-ripened peaches had the best and most appeal. Marie said, “Don’t worry we will just sell the peaches right on the farm!”

A hayride wagon takes visitors back and forth to the you-pick patch all day while we’re open! Once in the patch, you’re welcome to use one of our little wagons so you don’t have to carry your pick of the patch back to the hayride wagon.
Once you’ve found your pumpkin, load it up on a returning hayride wagon, and take it back to the pumpkin shed where you’ll be able to weigh and pay for it. You’ll also find smaller pumpkins, gourds, and other fall decorations as they become available for purchase in the shed!”
